That's how the old saying goes right? In this business you can't stop. The work always has to be fresh and new. Recently I took a trip down to Miami to create some new work for my book. Thanks to Caroline at CGM Models for giving me access to such great talent!
What do you get when you mix a historical Rockefeller estate with one of the most beautiful and protected islands in the U.S. Virgin Islands? The answer is one of the most breathtaking and serene resorts in the entire Caribbean.
Caneel Bay is truly a gem and I was honored to be able to capture imagery for their upcoming 60th anniversary campaign. Wardrobe AND prop styling by the one and only Aelana Curran.
Bright, vibrant, energetic, authentic. Those are just a few of the words I think of to describe the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area where I have spent the last 7 years of my life. St. Petersburg has been good to me. I started my family here as well as my career as an advertising photographer. So you might imagine I was pretty ecstatic when BVK reached out to me to shoot the 2016 VSPC winter campaign.
My team and I and the team from BVK spent four days shooting in and around the St. Petersburg Clearwater area. We spent four days shooting at locations ranging from Clearwater Beach to a coffee shop in downtown St. Pete.
This was truly a dream assignment and I can't thank Mitch, Kelsey, Joel and Darlene from BVK as well as the team from VSPC enough for bringing me on for this. And as always none of this can happen without the stellar team of people who helped bring this shoot together! You all know who you are!
When you start the year off with a week long shoot for one of the top resorts in the U.S. Virgin Islands you are definitely setting the bar high for the rest of the year. I can't share anything from the shoot yet but let's just say it was epic and I can't wait to share. In the meantime here are a few iPhone images from the trip. Cheers!
As each year comes to an end I always like to look back on the year that was. This year was perhaps the busiest of my career and I couldn't be more thankful for that. My team and I have worked on some amazing projects this year and I thought it only appropriate to share some of my favorite images. We're looking forward to 2016 and starting the year off with a bang shooting a campaign in the Virgin Islands next week. Cheers and Happy New Year!
Never a dull moment while chasing these guys around!
Shooting imagery for higher education has always intrigued me and it wasn't until last month that I got the chance to shoot imagery for a large public university. Last spring I had the opportunity to share my portfolio with the folks at 160over90. I've long been a fan of the work their flagship Philadelphia office has been pumping out and once I found out they opened a Gainesville office to better handle their UF business I got in touch. The creative team knew they had a large shoot coming up this fall for UF and were still searching for photographers. Lucky for me, they loved my work and we clicked.
We spent four days last month shooting all over the University of Florida campus. From shooting robotics engineering to the fan experience at The Swamp we covered it all. Below are some of my favorites.
I can't thank the folks at 160over90 enough. This shoot was a blast!
The past six weeks have been insane around here. From a week in Chicago showing my book around town. A week in Gainesville, Florida shooting for the University of Florida and 160over90. A week in Jamestown, New York shooting a project amongst the beautiful fall foliage to finally a week in Alabama shooting for a long time client. It's been a whirlwind but I am glad to be home for the next few weeks and even more excited to get started on a large production here in St. Pete for a local tourism client.
